quote: HDD & RAM will be most expensive, not the CPU or Graphics ;) Athlon 3000+XP is around £75 atm, Graphic is probs an OEM card for £35... HDD will be near £110 & Ram about a ton...

I would get one from Dell. They will do one with the same spec but wiv a 15" tft for that. Its the chip and the graphic card that cost so much in that pc spec the chip is about a tone if u downgrade to a 2.4 u will save a bit

If you could choose the processor in the system, then ask them to put in an Athlon-XP Mobile 2500+, then set it to FSB 200 @ multi of 11... will then be as quick as a 3200+XP and about £50 cheaper...

You couldn't build a top spec pc for that price. You could build a relatively fast pc but you would hav to cut corners. A 'top spec' graphics card would use half of that budget.
