Outta interest Gav, what media do you use as I picked up some Datawrite Yellow's but I'm not to impressed with them compared to Ritek... You burning at 8x yet?

Get a dual writer... then you're not stuck if one format really takes a hold as the dominant...

8x drives are about now (although media supporting them is lacking). Don't confuse 8x with CD-R's... Will write a DVD in around 7 minutes!

Drives of choice at the moment IMO are the Pioneer DVR-107D and the NEC ND-2500A... both of which do 8x -R, 8x +R, 4x -RW and 4x +RW...

I've got the pioneer... very good :)

+ and -

They're different formats, you're best off getting a dual writer, coz it'll write both, obviously.

So i imagine that dual r/rw will write both...
