we have a wireless metwork in our house, ntl didnt even set it up to a computer for us, they dont like it goin on more than one computer god no's why! so we got a wire from the modem to a router then we got wireless network cards, its great! the 54g belkin cards we got were about £40-50 isha nd the wireless router was£70ish, but its 54g so u can get cheaper!

mate go wireless, it will be so much easier to set and there will be no wires running about, plus you can use the laptop anywhere (on the loo etc  ) and still access the net :) But if you going for a hardwired jobby, then routers dont come much smaller than 4 connections, hubs maybe but not routers :)

NTL wont set it up, they just plug ur modem in, then they leave, all u have to do is follow the instrustions then that they leave u in their pack
