thass jus being daft cos hows the cuesheet gonna know where to find the bin if its not edited to its location or not in the local directory :P

when i tried i burned the .cue onto the cd as a cuesheet but you need to have the .bin in the same folder as the .cue otherwise it wont work :thumbs:

to burn a binary in Nero you need the cuesheet to go with it

you can only split the contents & re-burn the CD if you use something like CDRWIN to burn the CD with a bootimage, there are some details on the net somewhere about how to make a bootable NT/XP CD

Look for Create Bootable Windows 2000 CDROM - it works for XP aswell

The XP CD should be no bigger than 560Mb, even the SP1 release wasn't over 600mb

If the XP file you have is over 700Mb then there must be a load of other stuff there!

the disc has XP on it ,if i split it ,will i still be able to put the discs into a comp one after each other and install xp??

tried nero wouldnt let me go ahead n burn.
got an external cd writer but not tried to see if it detects them

tried ,but record now say its to big for disc

nero say unrecognised file ,its a bin file

any ideas

Yeah only some writers can support 900m cd-r's and overburn.

Icy best way to try with urs is to put the disc in, it will recognize CD-R as 700meg, try overburning the extra 150 meg, has worked for me in the past.

iv got 850mb file
