I'd quite happily settle for the turbo convertible or even a new celica VVT-i that they are also keen on. Its fun spending other peoples money. I practically chose their current car. We were on the way to buying a hyundai coupe when i saw their current car in a forecourt of another garage..........now they own that car! :D

It affects nothing, my dad is named on mine and soon to be vice versa. It all goes under the policy holder.

I also have my own car, i'd be a 2nd driver on my dads policy so it wont affect anything. Plus he thinks its a good idea as he suggested it, i'm not gonna argue with that. Was trying to persuade them that a scooby is what the needed but the insurance group 20 part put my dad off................strange

quote: Should be ok shouldn't it. If you've got your own policy with your own NCB. And someone else puts you as a named driver on their policy it shouldn't effect your policy should it?

Yes but never a good idea IMO and i dont think you get to build up your own NCB for when you get your own policy.
