The AK coilover kits are the "budget" kits for beginners. A very high quality kit that offers good value for money, though there is a difference in the setup compared to the Highsport kits.

They're a bad fitment on Vauxhalls as you'll need to space the wheels out - not a problem in Europe where that's the fashion, just over here where people don't want wheels that protrude past the arches!!

what's the £375 coilover kit from FK - the budget one - is it better than normal shocks and spring?

is it ride height adjustable too, i take it it isn't damping adjustable?

sorry for all the quests, but i've just planted my self a new job and would like to purchase new suspension for ma car!

No worries mate - hopefully I'll have them on mine in a couple of months :)

I was going to get the HighSport kit as my Bilsteins are way too stiff but since Kerry's HighSports are a super-comfortable ride, I think KonigSports will be fine on softest given what I've been used to :)

As long as you use the sealant on the threads after adjusting the height then there's nothing that should need doing to the kits.

thanks joff! Just what I wanted to hear

I'll be looking at getting the konigsport kit later next year *hopefully* when the car is nearly ready to go back on the road again after the engine rebuild, etc...
Only thing I'm not looking forward to is all the £££'s needed, still, should be worth it in the end!!

thats why was thinking about the konigsport, just want to know if it will be worth it & wont last something like 6months before they need servicing like my old spax kit

For track and daily use then definately the KonigSport.

The HighSports are probably a bit too comfortable for track use lol and whilst the car will handle well you probably want it a bit stiffer than the HighSports can offer.

On the softest setting, the KonigSports are still stiffer than HighSports though.

Completely forgot about this post!

so there a good kit then, sweet, was looking at the Konigsport setup, but at £760 reckon there worth it for track & daily use?

Kerry's got the HighSport coilover kit and the quality is soo much better that with normal shocks + springs.
