Originally posted by Adam Kindness whet.... GET an IC before an ecu.... whats the point of upping everything and mapping it with higher charge temps :boggle: Decent FMIC should be top of anyones list when upping boost.... mmm... cold air yes..... can a std RX7 map/ecu handle full at 14-15psi What is the boost peaking at? does it have spikes? be carefull how to TT rx7's work? Are they serial or parrallel
NO DON'T GET AN I/C BEFORE ECU. the rx7 has SERIOUS problems with boost creep, he's running 14.5 psi alreay on the standard fuel map.. he is not getting enough fuel! if he gets a I/C boost will creep even more and instant blow. u may be able to stick a i/c on a supra or whatever and run it fine but it will blow the rx7 engine. fine get a I/C and fit it at same time as ecu not before as it'll cost alot more repairing the engine. yes we al know cold air is better and thus a FMIC but he has to sort out the fueling first. Nismo.. if u have enough for both go for both, if u have only enough for one get the ECU.
