when i was with directline at 17, they only allowed one mod, one more and they would give me the boot.

well just tried them again, bloke this time he said he would cover it but had to check. The people the are underwritten by said to him that they wont cover an engine mod till over 25. Stupid really as above shows, they do. Give up now.

Think I'll buy a standard new car!

Ive just rang another insurance company and they said it just needs to be insured as what it is now, not previously!

Make their flamin minds up!

I think they didnt really know what to say at directline. Two other companies have said just that it can be insured as a 1.4.

The old 1.0 engine broke so thats why there is a 1.4 in it now.

Directline will not insure any car with a mod if you are under 25.

Ive looked at buying a corsa with an engine replacement from a 1.0 to a 1.4.

They'll insure the 1.4 for me at no extra cost, but becasue its a change of engine they class it as an engine mod and will not insure it!:mad:
