Depends what position you're going for. I know quite a few people that have gone straight to Vauxhall wiv no experience in a trainee/junior position. uve just got to be willing to start at the bottom. Which means sales are gonna be harder to get cause ur competing against experienced salesmen.

Yeah shud imagine that as mentioned above a big dealership place like lookers vauxhall etc would like experience, which you may be able to get from a year or so in a mid sized place spose.

ya usually get a car aswell, but normally you will need previous dealer experience and a clean license

I went out with a vauxhall salesman. His salary was about £4500 plus commission plus company car. He used to earn about £20-£25K a year. All depends how good you are. They get vouchers and stuff for selling accessories too. You have to obviously work towards targets.

The saleman at my local Vauxhall dealership was telling me that a third of his sallery is made up by commision, he gets £40 for every car he sells. In one promotional weekend he sold 6 cars on the friday, 8 cars on the saturday and 4 on the sunday.

Might aswell enquire. Would be quite interesting I would think, although the salary will be largely based on commission I suspect.

Seen a job at Vauxhall for a salesman. I work in I.T. at the moment, but was wondering whether this would be a good change? |
