I got told every time I've asked them that Liverpool Victoria replace like-for-like, up to a single-item value of the market-value of your car...

Oh, and whats the point in covering mods if they dont replace them? Say if a mate gave me some clear side repeaters and i didnt have a reciept, would my insurance be invalid?!

is that why the quote was so cheap compared to other companies? Or do they all have the same policies. Im 18, 1 yrs no claims, with a 1.4 SRi, and paying £1040 now (old quote was £1500) so it probably works out better with the new one anyway. Im a pretty sensible driver anyway, ill just have to not crash, which kinda goes without saying anyway!

No ur insurance won't be invalid for having them, it just means that if ur car is involved in an accident (regardless of fault etc) your modifications will not be replaced like for like ie: your 18" alloys and custom bodywork will not be replaced... they'll be returned to factory fit wheels and standard bodywork!

So you mean my insurance wont be invalid for having them, but i wont be able to claim for them?

Yeah this is true.... BUT don't forget that ur mods aren't replaced like for like- they'll be returned to standard

thought it was too good to be true, but apparently not then! I was told by two different people on the phone, so wrote down the time in case it was recorded etc. Roll on 4 2 1 manifold and chip!!
