i think the cold idle is common for all throttle bodies mine is the same have to let it warm up before its driveable otherwise its idles at like 500 rpm lol

I've got the SBD set up on my 1.6 and it runs fine when cold even with no idle control valve. 2 or 3 blips of the throttle on start up and it idles fine. It needs to be set up spot on to work like that, but it is possible. My mate's 2.0 on TBs is the same. I wouldn't go back to a idle control valve now TBH as the SBD set up is much simpler, works fine and means one less thing to worry about.

Manufacturers recommend never to let the cars run on the spot for any amount of time. I dont know why but there must be a valid reason?

webber alpha system is basically a plug n play system. should give around +30hp

Starting is simple and the air temperature sensor and Lambda control take care of the warm up.

He means warm the engine up while the cars at a standstill.

SBD dont have cold start kits (i dont think) meaning they hardly run at all when cold.

you should do anyway

trouble with sbd TB's is that u have to let car warm up before u can drive it properly

Pooaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrr

XE5 - +46bhp

This is the maximum this engine can push out with standard AFM and without going to throttle bodies. Giving the camshaft a different lift duration to previous kits, modifying the cylinder head for max airflow and with the insertion of new pistons V-Max have achieved 200PS (196BHP) from this setup. Software is again changed but Fuel pressure is remained at 3.5 Bar. RPM Level 7500rpm

XE5 Price = £1199
Fitting of full kit = £POA

Just think of that then fitting some nice throttle bodies :D :D
