quote: thats because you probably had revs on the car so the turbo was already running. can proper launch them if you put some revs on them first, like 2500 rpm and let the clutch up slowly, try it, great for pulling onto roundabouts. dont let it up too quick though or the wheels loose grip.

quote: the sxi dti has got a better suspention setup and brakes as standard. so that idea went out the window, lol. as for smells, see mikeboys post. the dti is quicker than the 1.2, maybe similar 0-60, but to be honest you want in gear torque for normal driving. much more economical too.

the 1.2 is very noisey on the motorway, due to the short gearing. i wouldnt know about the 1.7

Cos it sounds and smells better, and revs above 5000Rpm, also its lighter and can take more stick round the bends

1.2SXi... very good on petrol and not bad performance for the little motor.

Not bad torque wise, i wouldnt want one, i'd prefer the 1.2Sxi. Economy is quite good, but its only worth getting one if you do over 30k per year, otherwise the extra cost of the car isn't worth it
