Rubbish, the common man will go for the mid price or most expensive. The cheap ass, cheap car owning man will buy the budgets if they have any brains at all. Buy cheap, buy twice. [Edited on 05-05-2016 by mattievRS]
I'd class my mate in work as the common man, albeit knowledgeable about car stuff. He isn't a tight ass. He bought a 320I from a dealer at an inflated price, then spent £1500 taking it to bmw to fix the ecu. He then asked the tyre guy in a shop near him to fit whatever's cheapest. Some obscure linglong type brand I've never heard of. As far as he's concerned, tyres are tyres.
