ma grandad has an escort estate which has done 220,000 approx miles!

still seems to be running ok but the car is worth nothing!

mine was ex company car - engine did 130k - but nothing on car is standard now (brakes - suspension - bearings - engine etc) so only chassis dont that now

ive had a cora td on a m reg done 230k with hist drove well nice for milage trust and my corsa has done 106k but milage is nothing this days trust as any car will do over 200k trust me ive seen loads of them

Whats your average mileage a year? It should be ok provided you look after it but you'll probs have lots of little probs which become well annoying!

I ask cause im at 91 000 miles now and was thinkin of going for a conversion but not for 3/4 years yet, when I can afford the insurance and when im coming to the end of uni, basically wanna knwo if its gonna run til then...........

I had 105 on my 1.2 without any major probs, my engine was neglected abit too!

1.2 16v 103K miles with no major problems :thumbs:

the average of a engine apparently is normally about 150k b4 u get major problems but always depends on hwo it was driven, serviced etc basically its blind luck :thumbs:

as above, how many miles on avarage are they capable of b4 the engine dies? If they've been reasonably looked after.

and seeing as mine had a complete overhaul a year or so ago, new gaskets, filters, and everything thats included in a service, as well as having everything steam cleaned . ( it ahs been serviced regularly as well - every 10-12 months) how many should I expect
