Out of curiosity, I took my car to these tonight and the 10800-11100 estimate turned into 10,000 dead.

I turned them down, but shall think it over until the quote expires on Sunday.

I could put my splitters back to standard and make a bit of that cash back selling those, but that's a few hours work I'm not sure I can be bothered with

They won't offer you £500 less than what is worth on the open market.

I'd probably use them as well as I am the ultimate lazy bastard but you shouldn't really, unless you seriously need the cash.

Cheers guys. To be honest I think the price the website quoted is too good to be true.

I'm trying to sell for 11,500 which is competetive, and the website quoted 10,500-11,000. I'd take 11k from a place like this just for the convenience!

The car is almost perfect, just a single alloy has got a slight bit of kerbing - but I declared that on the website and it's apparently factored in.

I'm still unsure though to be honest, I've not test driven any cars which I may want to replace it with - so I at least know I've got this route available if I suddenly find the "perfect car" and want a quick sale.

As he says though he's not desperate so can walk away. They prey on poor people to accept the lower offer. Since he's not in a rush nor desperate for money. He can easily decline.

They'll give you one price over the phone/email but another when they see it.

they pick up on absolutely everything and over price the cost to repair.

Yep, make sure wheels are spot on or they knock off £200 off the price

Competitor to we buy any car obviously, has anybody offloaded their car to them?

They're giving me a preliminary price about a grand higher than we buy any car ask thinking of taking it in for them to look at.

I'm not desperate for a sale though so i won't be accepting any less then i want if they haggle!
