Originally posted by thegsi Most important fact to consider is if you have to ask about costs and don't like spending money on fuel, maintainance, insurance, modifying and general running, DONT BUY ONE.
wtf? so people shouldn't buy one if they want to know how much it'll cost to run/maintain? seems a bit stupid.
Nothing stupid about it, its a fact. They're renowed for costing lots of money in pretty much every way possible. Why do you think most of them have loads of owners to them? Its because people jump into the ownership, soon realise they can't afford it and sell them on. Sure, you can buy one, don't bother keeping up with the service schedule, run it on red diesel and rag it round like an old Transit but don't expect for it to last long and don't have high hope for selling it for a reasonable price. They are high maintainence and require the highest of care and attention for a reason. If you think you can buy one, run it and keep it A1 for a small budget, then don't buy one because it won't work. You find me an Evo 8 with high miles and no service history that'll sell for anymore than £8000.
