Pretty sure warren or someone else who equally knows their shit said it was hard to do due to wiring.

I thought the 1.4 and 1.8 engines in the Corsa C were supposed to be pretty similar, so in theory it shouldn't be too hard a job. But then again I've never done a conversion so it may not be as simple as I think

Sell hers buy a 1.8 . I swopped a twinport 1ltr for another different engine code and in end I made a good one out of two . Massive difference between both and a ball ache. My fault for not fully checking like but I wouldn't reccomend

The 1.8 smallblock from the Vectra B is the X18XE1 which is slightly different. Also I don't think they did a twinport Z18XE, but that doesn't matter too much.

hello, iv done a fair few corsa b c20xe n c20let conversions in my time, but the corsa c is abit new to me . Im looking for abit of help with people that have done or if it is possible to do, currantly my mrs has a 1.4 16valve z14xe non twinport ,engine in her corsa c sri and it is getting worse for wear (little tappy wen cold , an very little blue smoke) i have a 1.8 16 valve small block engine out of a vectra b, belive to be a x18xe1 non twinport ?? i have all wireing loom and ecu , transponder , chip for key , gearbox etc, would it go straight in the corsa and run once all plumbed in ?? |
