Always wondered about this, mate whats hyperformances number btw, do they sort of go the same as LV in that they won't insure you on a claibra turbo but they'll insure you for £200 on a corsa 1.2 converted to a 2.0 16v and £400 on a sri coverted to a 2.0 16v...if you catch my drift?

Trying to find sum1 to insure me ona clio 16v at the mo you see.

Dan_Corsa did you change the ownership of your car, or tell them that the car is registered in your name, some people have their car registered in their name, but insured in their mum's, when they stack it they find out the insurance is invalid

Fad

if you have already recieved a written quotation, then there should be a date on it which states when the quote is valid until. if it is still valid then they have to insure you at the stated amount as, as vibs said, its a binding agreement

Fad

posted on 14th Apr 03 at 12:00

well i was told that the underwritters said it was too much of a risk :(

vibrio

so long as the quote was still valid then they have to take you as a quote is a binding agreement

Got a quote from them for my 2 litre corsa so gave my mate the go ahead to do the conversion....well went to take out the premium today and they basically told me to fook off :!

well shafted!! i had a written quote the lot saying they would insure me :(

so where do i stand on this?
