I wouldnt look twice at a car if i had to mot it.

What about a car with 12 months MOT but only 1 months TAX... owner willing to put on new TAX if the price is right on the car sale.

Just wondering as this might be what my advert says next month lol :look:

Tax is fine as its a set price and my current car didnt have tax when i took ownership. Depending on the cars condition it could cost more than its worth to mot and fix / re mot.

I need a car for work as its a 80 mile round trip so i doubt i could take the risk.

Buying a car without mot is a minefield IMO. It could cost you a small fortune putting it through. Those folk that say it would fly through are talkin shite. Spend £40 putting it through then and sweeten the sale.

Tax isn't so bad as it's not dependant on the condition of the car, but it'll sell easier and you'll get more interest if you stick 6 months on it.

I always view cars with no mot as being worth SCRAP value... even a 2k bmw with no mot is worth £300 tops scrap!

the amount of cars you see for sale that have no MOT or tax + test but yet the owner claims it will "fly through" , it does make me laugh because that clearly is not the case, if it was why dont they MOT it for 50 quid and sell it for more? winds me up in fact.
