You can fool it into thinking theres a signal to come on by bridging the remote with the positive terminal. Thats what i did, and whenever i was out of the car for more than a day i just pulled the cable out. Not ideal but it worked.

I'll look later and try what Ash said. Maybe its just wired up wrong. Thanks for all the help though lads.

This happened with my friends car, we just put a switch in to turn the connection on and off, worked fine then :)

Thats for some aftermarket headunits only to switch from perm live to ignition live

Thats what I thought, remote wire should give signal to the amp to turn on. No wire = doesnt turn on

Could be a fault with the wiring on your headunit and its constantly giving the amp the signal to turn on? Is the blue wire correctly wired t the remote and not another wire?

tat will be it. It connects either straight into the back of the headunit saying remote or connects to a bluewwire out the back saying remote

If that aint connected it wont turn off when you turn the ignition off bud so I reckon its pretty safe to say thats the cause

If i have my amp and sub connected to my battery, my amp never turns off so it just drains my battery. Anything i can do? or do i just need a new battery? Thanks.
