K-Seal rather than Radweld, guy at the garage I had a brief stint in said it was far superior.

K-Seal fixed my Grandpa's HG on his Rover 45. Went just the other week right enough, but that was over a year ago him and my dad threw some K-seal in for a joke.

Through some radweld in it and it may cure it, i've heard it can fix HG water leaks, TBH I think my car is leaking coolant and i'm getting paranoid with steam coming out the exhaust, but it is cold. I'm hoping it is the cap as I saw a small amount of steam arond there, but could have been water on the hot rad (expansion tank is connected to rad)

Bloody cars.

I was thinking when I couldn't sleep last night (gayyyy) that I must treat my car too well, never thrash Its bollocks off, never go above 5k really and if I do its only when warm.

People I know give theirs death from cold every time - and no issues!?

It had halfords advanced ready mixed coolant in it, and plenty of it.
Bright orange, saved me when the rad was leaking :)

a compression test could be fine but it could still be the HG if it shows as OK though, it's not a definitive test. Would help though.

Id comp test it to be sure. Do the gasket with a decent quality gasket, skim the head and make sure the bolts get done up correctly.

Well its drinking coolant like an alcoholic, excessive white smoke out the rear, no signs of leaks for that amount of coolant, slight misfire, lumpy under acceleration.

I'm pretty sure :( ?

:( sucks doesn't it.

I think it'll just be a turn around on the 1.6, still enjoying the lexmaul. Losing interest slightly and this just topped it off :(

Aye mate same here. Mine's been sitting with the head off for 2 weeks begging for it to be refitted, not got the socket for the head bolts though.
