quote: AP Racing brake kits are great - providing you've got £1600 to hand over that is. :! Daimo - the Wilwood Midilite callipers are fully dust sealed (unlike some earlier models) and I can assure you, they're not crap quality - I have a pair sitting here in front of me!

I got the Midilite Callipers (drop-forged and now dust-sealed :D ), 285x24mm discs, all the fitting brackets and braided hoses plus pads for £490 plus the dreaded VAT - so yes, it seems like a fair price to me. The master cylinder can be uprated (think people like TAS and Pro-Tec do the kit) but it's not cheap. Hower I gave Rally Design the dimensions of the standard GSi piston size, and they supplied the 4-pots to match (apparently they come with different piston sizes). I can only comment of pedal feel once I've got them in, but there's no doubt it'll be a big improvement over the V6 setup.

Wilwoods. The V6 discs and calipers have a crap feel - the Corsa master cylinder is not really up to the job of driving those pistons. In any case, they're just single floating pistons, without the clamping power of a 4-pot. You'll also save about 8kgs of unsprung weight if you go for the Wilwoods compared to V6. I've got a set of Wilwoods sitting here on my desk and they're beautifully engineered - look so good you won't want to put them on the car! They're going on next week...
