i did mine with 2 layers of coke can, lasted while i had it blanked (bout 4 or 5 months) but when i took it off to reopen it the bottom layer of can had rusted through

Mine has the egr held on with only one bolt, partly because it was easier.

if you doin it with engine in place.... more fucking hassle than its worth. i wouldnt bother.

For mine I got a proper GM blanking plate. I put a brand new gasket on, then blanking plate over the top, and the actual EGR back over the top of the blanking plate if that makes sense. So the EGR valve is still bolted in place and plugged in but its not actually doing anything :thumbs:
