just had a look in the fusebox everything seems intact. but when you move one of the relays (number 14 according to the lid) the engine starts turning over :s

Yea engine would only turn over and none of the clocks worked/any of the lightls like engine management. Switched the fuse and fired up straight away

This same sort of thing happened to mine yesterday. It was a fuse. Check them all carefully because My mate didn't notice first time

Just a stab but could it be a fuse out? or even bad earth somewhere?

Just an idea :) Its better to check all the obvious stuff before shelling out for a new ECU when it might not be that causing it

I highly doubt the transponder plug would have just fell out

would that cause the other faults with bcm and clock module? all i can do is pull the panels from around the column and make sure everythins plugged in

The transponder hasn't accidently become unplugged has it? If the EML is flashing it will be something to do with either you transponder, ECU or key chip

just need to know if theres anythin that can cause this other than a completely knackered ecu, maybe loose connection and was that a coincidental case of detonation or was it related to the fault because its never happened before

sounds like it. | |

nope, chips in the key and intact. its pretty clear the ecu isnt talking to the bcm or clock modulend isnt reading the key which is why i think it may be internal to the ecu?

Has you key fallen to bits at any point? Sounds like an immoblisation fault
