Yes, you wouldn't get away with phase 2 without throttle bodies hence why it says for use with throttle bodies, they don't say that shit for fun.

I've got kent AST1612 cams and oversized valves in my c20xe with standard pistons. Not sure on the lift, duration etc but mine have been fine for 3 years and the car gets death everytime I take it out lol.

Depends on lift/duration, 264 tend be largest, but could get 270 with I thnk its les lift, bt with the duration. I built an xe wit rods, wossners, headwork, newman 270s, r1 carbs + tle exhaust made 190 at wheels whch rwd wrk 225 at fly. Bt id ring newman I rate them beta than kent and piper

yea, but the clearances are the main problem...especially at higher rpm's. Unless you have the cut-outs in the pistons enlarged...you'll more than likely be putting new valves in before long.

i wouldnt risk it tbh.

They can but other mods will compliment them nicely, have a look here for more info.

Ah wot I thort cams give a good 15 bhp gain! I've seen some 270 cams, they will give gains won't they?

You could put some mild ones in but chrex makes a point.

standard ones. not much point putting cams in on standard pistons because the standard cams are good for 180bhp or so. Plus the valve clearances are that slight that you'll end up killing them as they WILL touch at some point when you're giving it stick.

Pistons need cams, and the cams need pistons.

I'm interested to know this as well. Probably best sticking a thread up in the help zone mate.
