i did this, i filled up with oil and drove down the road, got about a mile and stopped at a traffic light and there was smoke on front of my car, i was telling my mate "shit that car in front is smoking alot" he kindly reminded me it was my car.

got out and engine bay covered, whipped socks and t-shirt off and cleaned it all up with them. bit of gaffer tape over all cover and 1.8k rpm all the way home with not much oil in the car

oh dear, I had a Corsa hire car earlier in the year and at some traffic lights i noticed some smoke coming from the grill. Opened the bonnet and the twats had left the oil cap off, most probably when they serviced it. Glad I didnt have to clear up the mess.

Stuck some oil in the car before I went out and got about 5 mins away from home and thought fook me it stinks of oil. Stopped at side of road had a look under bonnet and tieres no oil cap and oil all over my nice white engine bay. Had to go for a nice walk to find it then back home for more oil. Gonna take me ages to clear it up :(
