I think it was just a few bits on and around the cross member that my mate got done but I may be wrong | |

what other parts would need to be strengthened as its runnin phase 2 chips and a cossie front mount and a hybrid turbo so its about 300 bhp just don't fancy having the thing fall to bits on me | |

Mate of mine had a LET that hadn't been strengthened and after a while the welds on the crossmember let go :| | |

thanks for that when its getting prepared for the transplant al do it like that. dose that stop it flexing out of shape or something | |

You go along the seams where the panels are spot welded. Grind it back to bare metal along the seams, them weld a 25mm long fillet, leave a 25mm gap and then weld another 25mm fillet. Don't allow the metal to get too hot while doing it, you might want to take a break every 3 to 4 welds and work your way from the outside of the car to the inside symetrically. | |

where do i stitch weld the front end to strengthen the chassis up as to prepare to take a let. iv stole some pictures from shaunmods progress tread as his engine bay is very clean a hope he doesn't mind. if any one could possibly mark out were it would be. thanks |
