I was wondering f it is possible to play a SVCD OR VCD on an XBOX if so can u please contact me by sending me an e mail

VCD playback is only possible through use of "Homebrew" software (software made by end-users not licensed by Microsoft)run on the xbox. For you to be able to run this software you must first have a mod chip installed on your xbox (thus voiding your warranty). In short, no, the xbox does not play VCD or SVCD. For more info on this check out http://www.xbox-scene.com Happy Holidays

You can't play (S)VCD format unless you have a MOD-Chip that will void your warranty. However the Xbox gaming system can play normal DVD's so it's your way to find out what formats the Xbox does support.

yes dumbass, pay attention.
if u want it to play backed up games and vcds/svcds go and get a mod chip installed... but do it at your own risk, because if your xbox screws up afterwards you have to pay for it cos microsoft dont want you to install chips in it, so they wont help you if u fux it up.

Does that mean i can make a movie that will work on a DVD Player / Playstation 2, from a CD-RW Drive with a CD-R ?

Um, I assume the xbox dvd player will accept VCD's (Video-CD's). You can't write it as a file, you need to write is as a proper video disc, or svcd. Get something like Nero Burning ROM and say create new VCD.

That should work (does on home cinema dvd players) but I don't know what the xbox supports...
