Thinking about it you could pick up a 1.4 turbo 150bhp fiat bravo for your budget, they're pretty nice too

I do like the new clio sports, think they look nice but would be dubious due to motorwa miles

Keep the suggestions coming guys :) few new ideas now

You wouldnt get a cooper S less than 2yrs old for 10k anyway....ive just been looking at them!

I deffo think your looking smallish hatch (corsa/fiesta size) type car to meet your criteria. What about a Clio 192 in white??

Kurt

i think mines worth 9-10k

Dont really want to own a car that I have already owned so that rules out an A3 really.

Like the idea of a Cooper S but heard the MPG is bloody awful

Hasd a look in your garage Kurt  very nice, how much do the new style puntos fetch these days?

very good shout - just concerned that the money I say on financing/loaning the car may be made up for in additional fuel costs

what MPG should I expect to see in a Corsa VXR with a mixture of town and motorway driving?

Due to a change in financial priorities (started the search for mine and the missus 1st house  I may need to downsize and sell the recently acquired Audi :(

Its gonna be tough because its the best car I have ever owned and I love it to bits but gotta prioritise now. What will make it even tougher is everytime I have sold up and bought a new car, I have upgraded so I am trying to downgrade without feeling I am losing out too much :boggle: which I think I may struggle doing

I am now looking for something with the following criteria:

£10k maximum
Maximum 2 years old (definitely want something with manufacturers warranty still on it)
Ideally 150bhp minimum
Not too high insurance group (think the Audi is 14 so no more than that :))
3 door hatchback
35 mpg+ when doing 60 miles per day mainly motorwat
Cool to look at
Diesel or petrol

I also fancy a white car but cant think of many that fit the above critetria and look good in white.

I have owned an Astra sport hatch previously so dont really want another one. I have also owned a Mini but havent ruled another one of out of the running just yet ;)

The one I am currently considering is a Fiesta ST in white (Yes, I know they aint a world beater but needs must and it seems to fit into the above criteria?)

Any other suggestions?
