i thought it was 2.2's

We use the GM 2.2 engine in our Alfa's.. was wondering whether that would fit..

yea the z22se owners use a balancer shaft delete kit.

supposed to free up 5bhp

Yea you can remove the balancer shafts on the zlet and it will help the engine rev better

I seem to remember a thread where someone blanked off their balance shafts.. Possibly on a vx220.. Does that ring any bells with anyone? I've tried searching
