Yeah, Tim is right. Basically what 1x 500w, 2x250w means is that you can run 1 channel (bridged) at 500w or 2 channels at 250w.
You'll use a channel for each sub.

It will work.

Well, if there's two terminals, you just run each sub from each terminal.

Either that, or you run wires from each terminal, twist both +'s and both -'s together, and run the amp bridged into one channel (i.e. i-ve on one channel and +'ve on the other). Check your amp manual though and you may need to flick a switch to put it in bridge mode.

Heres my amp set up, it's a sh1t pick, but had to rush out and take it cos I'm at work!!

Basically the amp on the left is 4 channel which runs the 6x9s and components (once connected)
and the amp on the right is 2 channel which runs the subs.

You can run the 6x9s off of the headunit, wouldn't recommend it though, but at least you will be able to run the subs without straining the 6x9s.
Does that help?

ice and electrics area is dead, no one responds!
yes there are 2 sets of terminals. i did attempt to buy a 600w 4 way amp, but got sent a 500w 2 way, this wont work will it??? goin to run the 6by9s back off the headunit.

you wanna, have a seperate amp running your subs cos otherwise the subs will drain all the power from your amp running the 6x9s.
All you need is a good 2 channel amp!

Your best bet is to post this in the Ice and electrics area, but hope that helps!!

Oh, and put a diesel battery in your car. Cheap way to get a battery which can supply more current.

Battery is only as strained as the power total you're trying to pull.

Does the box have two sets of terminals? Thats just one for each sub as the box will be partitioned inside into two seperate boxes.

I run two 12's from a Hifonics Zeus Z600. £320 and very very nice. Wire it in 2Ohm mode and your ear drums will bleed.

Oh, and get a powercap (1F) as it really needs the power.

got a sub box with 2 4002 subs in, has a set of terminals on either side.
i think i need a 4way amp, do i? is 6oow ok?
currently have a 300w amp 2 way tho, runnning my 6by9s
not enought though is it
iv herd runing 2 amps is a strain on the battery
