Metal sleeves were only on the bottom bushes of the shock (where it fixes to the rear beam).

nah i took them off to have a look at them because they were squeaking... then put them on and they were still squeaking and one of them was making a new noise so it was something i did lol

spot on davey - one question... did yours have a metal sleeve that goes through the rubber?

Could be the rear springs, they're meant to have rubber pad things at the top to stop it making a knocking noise.

Could also be your exhaust pipe, mine made a massive kind of "donk" on the axle after I lowered it :lol:

cheers mate, what side does the washer go? and what way does the lip on the rubbers go?

The upper and lower rubbers are the same, you need the big washer on each side of that too.. You cant really get it wrong :)

Right the shock is bolted in at the bottom, on top of that bit of plastic i need one of them metal stoppers then i need a bit of rubber? then i thread it through into the boot then i need another bit of rubber then another metal stopper thing...

is this correct?

do both rubbers look the same?

Ive been a complete twat and put it on wrong (i think)
