i dont think it will stretch enough with a 45

does anyone have any pics of an 8j with a 195 45 on them so i can get an idea of a stretch?

sorry i took so long to reply i was creaming lol

sportboy; that is spot on but what name are your tyres because some dont stretch as good as others. when i brought my 165/50s we tryed a budjet tyre first and it didnt stretch much at all, but the bridgestones stretch just right

must agree that look perfect, considering the power of the c20let in adams as well as your sportyboy, the stretch isnt to much for the grip that the engine needs  (if that makes any sense lol)

i say maybe 185 / 50 to be honest, or what gsi_16v said if you didnt want alot of stretch. which i think you will :P lol

it depends on the wheel, banded steels and monoblock wheels are easier to get ridiculous stretch on, whereas 2 piece wheels are more difficult.

i am running 185/45 on an 8j which is not a bad stretch, but i ideally want 165/50 on them. i tried a few months ago but had no joy in getting them fitted.

spill the beans... what wheels? banded steelies?

195 45 would be fine imo. Stretched without looking silly.

if i have 8j wheels what tyre would i need to run to have a good stretch. i have 7j ronal turbos with 165/50/15s at the mo and they have a nice stretch but my new wheels will be 8s so just curious on a tyre size

thanks:thumbs:
