And b4 anybody says write it to CD R then yes it will work but after encoding the file its far to big to fit onto a CD R so i wanna encode it and put it on DVD

Iv downlaoded an AVI file, nebody know how to burn it so its a Video DVD onto a DVD using Nero, wenever i try to burn it it says File compliance failed. Do i have to convert the AVI into a VOB file or sumit?
