The previous post was really a question to be honest.

So the original sub I chose would do the job fine on that amp.

The Pioneer TS-W1201DVC is dual 4-ohm which will then run off the amp at 2-ohm meaning that the amp will provide 300W RMS to a 500W RMS sub. Under powering it but as long as I dont push the amp to its limits I dont have to worry about it fecking the sub.

get a sub which has dual voice coils (DVC's). Each coil should be 4ohms, so they can be wired to 'show' the amp 2 ohms.

Can i not power the amp at 2ohm but run the sub at 4?? Ah well.

I will have to find a sub that will run at 2hom then so the amp will run it. Not got the dollar to get a powerfull sub. Want some good bass, wanna beat me mate basically who has a 700W peak kenny swirl.

if you look, the viper amp is 300RMS @ 2ohms, the audiobahn, as you wrote is 4 ohms, so will probably only pull about 150RMS, seriously underpowering the sub, the JL would be a much better choice.

I have found a place that does Audiobahn kit now. Sticking with my original decision on the amp side of things - here's the sub choice now though.

Stick with getting a good quality make. That other one i have never heard of. Probably goes quite lous. but would be more noise than music. Might blow up after a little while too. If you get a 12"W3 (i think thats 300watts RMS) That will drop well and have a wicked sound quality. Must get a good amp tho. Those Vipers seem pretty good. Other than that Pro Plus make some cheap and powerful amps.

Yeah £250 for all that kinda puts me off, nice price but the kit cant really be that good.

Dont you lot rate the sub then, heard good things about Pioneer subs and I know they produce quality kit, dont reallu know about the sound though.

dsnt bass-junkies.com have a deal on of some kind - they often seem to have quite a good bass sub and amp deal - i have got 2 from there in my time and have been most happy with the quality and the service.

try looking at a JL 12W3, that'll punch hard but drop for the hip hop and run well off the Viper amp, i think, cant remember exact power ratings on that sub tho.

Um, dunno what u can get... maybe a Infinity Reference 12" sub in box (about £120) and a JBL 300.1 (about £120 i think).

Power cap smooths your power supply so there's enough current to drive the really low notes...

There again, I got a 1F power cap and my lights still dim :look:

Had an accident Valentines night. Basically a idiot slammed into the back of me, didnt realise at the time the sub was bust.

Had 2x10" Boss subs with a Boss amp to power them. Think the amp was 125w MAX 2 channel.

Basically told them its gonna cost £250 for a new sub, so I am now looking for the best deal for the money. Willing to throw in a little extra if its worth it, but rather not £250 is a fair bit.

Looking for something that can bang along with my dance music and also hit low for my hip-hop and such like.

Any size considered, any brand, just the most power and quality I can get and realistically run for £250ish.

At the moment I have found this setup to be half decent for the money:-
Pioneer TS-W1201C 1000W Max 500W Nominal.
Viper Audio d300.1 300W RMS (2 ohm) Class D Monoblock amp.
Dunno about wiring kit, £50 is the best price I found for multi amp wiring kit that can handle 1000W.

What do ya think??
