I like the way you've worded that, saved you from turning the key that last step, instead you just had to move your hand somewhere else and press a button? Never saw the point myself.

A mate went for a similar sort of system on his old Audi 80 when the ignition barrel went, it wouldn't start on the key so he extended the starter wiring up the dash, turn key to ignition then hot wire the starter :cool: That's the only reason I can see for a push button tbh, if it costs less than a new ignition barrel would

Surely if its wired properly, you can't start it without the key anyway? I had one in my RX7 and it just saved you from turning the key the last step to start the engine.

try telling an insurance company that.

I know of 3 people that have had insurance problems with them, 1 had their car stolen, extensively damaged and recovered. Insurers refused to pay out due to the starter button.

push button start, but its just a silver button and needs key to be turned in the ignition to be useable?

anyone know how to install a starter button into a corsa?
looking to have it set up exactly like the vx220
i recently drove this and thought was pretty cool
just wandering if its possible? thanks :thumbs:
