Well one of my mates a while ago suggested that my headgasket could be on its way out, so i thought id find out if this could have anything to do with the idle.

If it used to idle ok and all youve done is fit this inlet then its not going to be the headgasket. Never heard of a failed headgasket causing a high idle either, have you got all the pipes connected properly and none of them have split while you were fitting it?

even a tiny tiny leak will cause it to idle high. theres tons of threads posted up about it. if it was running fine before then it cant really be anything else

whats your throttle cable like. i had to fanny about with mine a bit when i fitted my inlet. take your air filter off and put your hand over the throttle body. it should cut out if you have no leaks

no it will be an air leak on the inlet manifold. common problem

My 1.4 sport is idling high since fitting an inlet manifold, but someone suggested that when a corsas headgaskets goes, this can cause it to high idle. |
