All the K-series engines (inc 1.4 1.6 1.8 etc..)

They look nice but they are shit.

1.4 16v goes well for a 1.4 though, very well infact :)

Ive head a freelander HG will sort the problem out though? Is this true?

Indeed, as said, interiors are awful, the door handle would fall off my dads one when you closed the door

build quality not the best loads of trim gaps, lack of safty features.

headgasket can go often, starter motors can be troublesome, rear suspension bushes are prone to go quiet expensive.

they are comfy, and engines do pull hard, shit mpg.

and its still based on something what came from 1995/1996.

Gearboxes are also prone, make sure its had the fluid changed, tbh i wouldnt give more than scrap price for any MG/Rover, regarless of age, but then every one ive had has been shit lol

head gaskest always go so really do watch them, wheels bearings are also popular, and i guess you realise they come with fuck all extras, build qyuailty can be shabby plus replacement parts are hard to comeby if your after genuine parts but handle well and are well powered for the engine size

edit:just read about hedagasket, make sure it was doen properly

Just bought a 2005 MG ZR 1.4 105 Trophey, grey with MG decals. Not drove it yet though, had to take drivers seat out to get it repaired (bolseter is worn, do it before it gets worse). Only paid £3400 for it, its done 45,000 miles, not a bad price I dont think, got it from a car auction.

Anyone heard good/bad things about them? Ive heard they arent that good build quality wise? Its had a new headgasket already from what i can see from the receipts.

Ill get some pics up and let you know how i go on!
