Will Vaux have just knocked the boost back a bit to account for the larger turbo?

There is hardly any difference between the two turbos. The VXR one is like 0.3% (or something) more efficient.

They are a direct bolt on jobbie and most people fit them oposed to the stock GSi item as the VXR item is miles cheaper. No need to adjust boost, fuelling or anything.

The VXR turbo is not bigger nor a heffer of a turbo.

If you fit one the driving characteristic may change slightly as word on the grape vine is they boost ever so slightly harder. Also you wont notice much withoout an upgrade remap.

They do flow more I think. Zlet item comes on boost pretyt much straight away, where-as the VXR takes a second or two until it spools up.

So are the VXR turbo's larger/better than the standard ZLET item?

Same as, they aint much good over 300bhp. Same as the injectors everyone went on a mad rush buying. Rated up to 300bhp...

If your going to all that hassle to change the turbo, do it with one worthwhile, and upgrade fueling at the same time.

should be fine, if you can get it RR'ed and mapped would be a good start

Would it be wise to get a RR day done?

My mate has a MK4 Astra GSi turbo and it turned out the turbo and manifold were shagged.

It was still under warranty but Vaux couldnt track down a standard turbo/manifold.

So, for free, they have fitted a huffer off of an Astra VXR.

My instant thought was 'what about fuelling?'.

Vaux seem to have been very lacking in info about what they have done and im just wondering if its going to be ok.....
