the v6 engine are exactly the same the 4pot turbo is definatly a saab only thing as it has saab stamped all over. im on the look out for a 2.3 full pressure turbo lump so if anyone can find me one you can have some cake :) | |

The 4 cylinder is not a GM engine, it's a Saab engine, it was developed by Saab, not GM, even if Saab is owned by GM. | |

That's because the V6 is a GM engine, not a Saab one, the 4 cyl is a Saab engine, but by the looks of things, would still go in fine with a few bits of bent steel and some welding. | |

we fitted a saab 3ltr bottom end in my mates astra v6 so it can be done | |

for the people that posted in the other thread about fitting a saab engine. we just so happen to have a 2.0 turbo swinging around at work. pictures of engine mountings etc. only thing thats a bit random are the water pipes not sure how they connect up yet. the engine mount is quite low down but its nothing 10 mins with the welder couldnt sort out.:) |
