rite sorry for the false info as dave said the large one goes to the crank case somewhere behind the engine, its the smaller one that is open.

rite so it can be done pretty easily for now then, the car stinks of oil, not sure if its this or the sump leaking on the downpipe. i will have a look at making one just to see how much is coming out. you got any photos?

ok, i v made 1 from a coke bottle for now and its suprising how much shit comes out of the cam cover, all iv done is got a tube that fits the diameter of the hose and fitted it to the cap of the bottle made a small breather hole on the bottle neck and job done. i think you should run from cam cover to catch tank and back to throttle body to do the job right but my way works for me and it stops the oily smell you get and the oil going on the floor. it also makes sure that you are not burning the oil and water vapour in the throttle body

im after some info on oil catch tanks, did a search but couldnt really find much, im currently running an x16xe with dbilas inlet manifold, the larger of the 2 breathers from the rocker cover is just left to atmosphere, since doing this i have some oil on the floor of the garage, from what i can gather the breather should go to a catch tank then the tank be vented to atmosphere, i have also heard of people making there own tanks how can i do this?
also iirc there are 3 breathers one on top which is connected to my inlet,
the large one,
and a smaller one but i cant remember where this goes.

what are the benifits of fitting a tank? will it just stop the oil leaking?

anything else i need to know that i may of forgoten

Thanks
Ryan
