if you've just had your headgasket done i'd go back to the place that did it and tell them to sort it out cus it sounds like they didnt do it properly!do you know whether they skimmed the head when they did it?

i could do that but its just finding the time of finding a decent redtop/c20let engine and then finding someone that can do conversions.

plenty of smoke came out of the exhausts and it smelt awful and i tried 2 start it and it looked like the engine was going to pop out.

Having sold a car with no engine before, I wouldn't advise it. You're FAR better off getting a second hand engine in there and selling it, you'll not only make more money, but it won't sit around for months on end not selling.

I got £325 for mine (a '99 T 1.4 16v Sport shell) with decent suspension and brakes.

With an engine (and interior) I would have got £1500 or so, and it would have cost half that to put it back together.

An engine will cost you about £150-200 maybe, and you'll make about £600 more with an engine in than without IMO.

Hi all

Today has to be one of the worst days of my life i thought that things were getting better until my car blew up. Me and my mate were setting off to go somewhere and then it started jumping like a kangaroo on crack then it just basically died on me. Bearing in mind i've spent stupid money on repairs and that i've officially came to a decision that i dont want to spend anymore it. Don't get me wrong but my corsa was a fun car to drive but i think i wouldnt have another one so i just need some ideas on what car i should go for next? im 22 with 2ncb.

sorry for the essay but i needed to get it all out in the open. :(
