Originally posted by Daimo B Thats due to the traction control/anti wheelie systems. Was reading a really good writeup on it last week. Even Stoner said that he would rather ride the mad arse 500cc twins than todays bikes. The issue with the 800's and all the electronics make it so you choose your line into a corner, then the bike drags you round, and you just open the throttle to get out the other side, the bike does all the work. Thats where the 990's had so much power it would simply light up the back hence all the bikes all over the place. The 800's have so much on them it stops the bikes looking out of control. In fact, this weekends race was by far the most "out of control" i've seen the bikes all year. Great race. Rossi is simply awesome, but Stoners really coming on, he's the one to watch for the future (bar JT baby!!!! :D). I've been watching him all year, he hasn't put a foot wrong on that bike. I wouldn't put Stoner far behined Rossi. He didn't do too bad on the satelite bike last year. Rossis bike is behined everyone elses (even Honda have passed them), its just Rossi can work it. Look how badly Edwards has done this year. On another note, Go Tech Tois Yamaha on the Dunlops :D Thats what JT is on next year, but with different tyres, and a more competitive machine. Im very much looking forward to next year, in fact, I think were gonna go to the British GP and camp out all weekend :D
