The wastegate in on the other side of the turbo. From what i recall 'wastegate chatter' is a completely different thing to compressor stall. Wastegate chatter is caused mainly on cars running lots of boost with a weak wastegate actuator that cant keep the wastegate closed under full boost but is still strong enough to prevent wastegate creep. The sound is the wastegate 'penny' opening then closing very quickly [/quote]
