x14xe has done roughly 115000 miles runs without any problems, driven on a daily basis, ragged daily hardly ever from cold. no issues whatsoever

letting an engine idle when cold does more harm than good anyway, because for those first few minutes you're still some minor engine damage (since the oil is cold) but no milage at all. Its much better to start it and drive it.

Im on 105k on my x14xe, runs absolute fine. I change oil and filter every 4000, and plugs everysecond time i change the oil! Always let tick over for a minute of two, then drivin gently (never over 2.5k rpm) for first 8mins and then gradually on to about 3.5k after that! Seems to work fine for me! The engine is extremely quiet and smooth on tick over and pulls fine! Its all about how you look after them!

Got 67k on mine at the min and going to run into the ground......just wondered how many miles some of you lot have clocked up in these and problems encountered with high mileage. Changing oil every 5000 and always let the engine warm up before being thrashed so should get 150k out of it?? maybe :o |
