There's no need to get it exact. If you want ot get it exact, then buy a Mantzel one which has been properly made, flow bench tested etc etc

Well just take a look at the box, it's about an inch bigger at each end over the lower inlet.

I would still like an overall length of a manifold.

Could someone measure one for me please.

That is a good pic. Very helpful with the plumbing side of things.

I'll defo put my vacuum points on the front.

To the rocker cover. I am guessin you mean the pipe with a little filter on.

It's just an oil breather

Jenko_Sport

Whats that breather filter connected to?

It's best if you put the vacuum pipes on the front though so you don't foul then coolant resevoir.

As you can see on the pic, he has had to unbolt his water bottle to make the inlet fit.

Cheers.

I was wondering what to do about the 3rd bolt and a stud is defo the only way to do it.

I've got a few vacuum points and i'll put them on the front.

Need to get hold of a brake servo vacuum union.

My tb mount plate will be getting machined this week, then all welded up next week.

Is there anything inside the box or is it just empty?

I can't remember how many vacuum pipes, there's more than enough posts on here though about vacuum pipes. Because that's where people always get confused. Have a search.

you can see std throttle body bolted on left hand side of my last picture!

The standard throttle body is bolted to box on the drivers side. The standard vacuum hoses go to the standard upper inlet. You are removing the standard upper inlet so the vacuum hoses hove got to go to the performance inlet.

It should be easy to find a threaded boss with a spout on for a vacuum pipe.

Jenko_Sport

So where do the vacume pipes come from off the standard inlet and can the standar throttle not just be bolted on?

Pic's in my garage if there any good to you.

C4RL0

Well, you need a throttle cable bracket and somewhere for the vacuum hoses to plug into. That's it.

Jenko_Sport

posted on 17th Mar 07 at 15:16

So nothing else is needed then apart from the inlet box?

C4RL0

posted on 17th Mar 07 at 15:14

Well all you to make yourself is the actual box. Then you use the lower inlet of an X16 and the standard throttle body.

Jenko_Sport

posted on 17th Mar 07 at 15:12

So what would you actually need to make one then?

Using as much of the existing items on a corsa?

ainsley_brader

tb is mounted with 1 stud and nut and 3 bolts.

There is one big vaccum and i think 3 little ones!

The angle of this one wasn't really enough its a vxpaul one.

Don't know measurements.

Also the vacuums would be better in the front (throttle cable bracket side than in that end!

Dont know if these help at all

I'm making my own inlet manifold like the mantzle copy's u can buy on ebay etc.

Can any one give me a few dimensions? How long is the inlet from TB mount to end.

How wide is it? 3"?

How many vacuum points are on them?

How is the tb mounted onto the inlet?

Any pics would be great.

Many Thanks.
