Well, lets say it costs you 1600 to do the conversion, then there is the hassle of insuring it. The insurance companies are going to be difficult about it and probably charge you more than you would pay to insure a 1.6 sport. However if you sold your 1.0 for lets say 1000 pounds, (not sure how much it is worth but im guessing its worth atleast a grand). Then you buy a 1.6 sport for say 1800. It will already have stuff like alloys, sport interior, sport rear spoiler etc, which I'm guessing your 1.0 doesnt have! Then it has only cost you 800 pounds to upgrade, so you have got a 1.6 sport for half of what it would cost you to convert your current car. Also you have the advantage of being able to hear the engine running before you buy it, and maybe even a test drive! Much better idea!
Good idea actually  I thought Corsa Sports were more expensive than that. I had a look on auto trader and couldn't find anyway. Going to be a while before i get one though because i just got this 1L a few months ago :) Thanks for the advice Edit: Just for future reference. What other cars are they out there similar to the 1.6 16V corsa, and about the same too insure ? PS: Mine does have a spoiler [Edited on 13-01-2007 by Wonderboy] [Edited on 13-01-2007 by Wonderboy]
