Nope, the one you pictured is the correct plug, but you can't do a paperclip test on it.

you cant do a paper clip test on most vauxhalls after 7/1997 as thay started to disable it in the ecu and remove the wiring

Take it to a garge and get it diaginosed most garges have the readers now so no need to go to a vx stealership

Corsa b's and mk 3 astras have the diag plug in the fuse box. most other newer vaxhalls have them under the centre console

My only worry is they don't have a fault code table for any Astra after 98 and yours is 99.

Surely its not done on what year it is its whether it changed to an OBD plug, so the older fault code table will be true still as its still the older ALDL plug.

I would try that but if you look at my pic and then the pic from the topbuzz website im missing the pin 6 so im stuck?

edit: can't do it on anything after 97 iirc.... you're gonna have to go to a garage and they can use a diag machine

My plug looks like this:

Although it says its in the fuse box of a MK4 astra where as mine is under a panel by the hand brake.

My EML is on sometimes and is running really slow. But it looks to me that i am missing some pins from the plug? Its a 99' Astra Van BTW.
