oh so it's not an expensive fix either way!!! Well i had to do a clutch on my old 106 which was a complete cunt. so a top mount can't be to bad???

drop link is a piece of piss to fit and is no more than £15 to buy same withthe ball joint.

The top mount is a different matter as it comes in 2 parts, the full kit costs £50 and is a bit of a nightmare to fit

drop link????? Haven't got a clue what that is!!! I've got to take it to my bro's workshop on saturday so we will have a look. He wasn't sure what it was but said he hopes it's not the ball joint!!!! where / what do i look for, for this drop link?

Knocking probably a drop link mate, mine was a tenner and took about 5 mins to replace.

well i took my bro to his xmas party, first tim e he's been in the pug.

good news is that the gearbox whine he said just sounds dry so new oil all should be good.

bad news is that the knocking noise on the near side front is either a top mount or ball joint!!!!!

Are these expensive???

any one know???
