Originally posted by jimbo_247 soz didn't read the thread properly didn't know it was a promotional car :( but even spending any amount of money on a citroen is wrong especially the C2 they are shit!
The reason for choosing a Citroen C2 was quite simple.. The Saxo was one of the most popular modified cars over the past few years, possibly due to the free insurance offers that were offered by dealers, allowing younger drivers to afford a sporty new car?? The C2 is the replacment for the Saxo, and it was anticipated that it may be a natural replacment in terms of popularity. The fact that it was quite new at the time of choosing meant that it hadn't been "done to death" and would create more of a "WOW" factor especially amongst other C2 owners/modifiers. The choice also worked out pretty well in that Cituning had only just developed the wide arch kit for the C2 (ours was the first production kit from them) and the paddle shift box meant less trouble for the centre seat conversion. Wether or not the C2 is a shit car is irrelevant, as there isn't much of the original left anyway! In terms of bodywork, the roof skin is the only panel not touched (aside from sanding & spraying).. Interior, nothing is OEM.. Engine has had a couple of mods, but its never going to be running up a drag strip, or round a track, or clocking 12,000 miles/year - so its plenty powerfull & reliable for its purpose. :)
